6 Canines Killed by Wolves in Separate Assaults
Pet house owners this week are mourning the lack of six companions in assaults by timber wolves in northern Wisconsin.Three wolf assaults close to Antigo, in Langlade County killed six canines over two days, Friday and Saturday, the Wisconsin Division of Pure Assets reported.The U.S. Division of Agriculture’s Wildlife Companies confirmed two assaults within the city of Ackley, close to Antigo, and one within the city of Elcho. The incidents have been:• On Friday, Sept. 26, wolves killed three canines and injured two others in Ackley.• On the identical day, in a separate incident, wolves killed two canines in Ackley.• On Saturday, Sept. 27, wolves killed one canine in Elcho.The pet house owners reported the assaults to the DNR. Beneath state regulation, the house owners may qualify for depredation loss.
