Learn about Nebraska’s invasive species during awareness days

Nebraskans are inspired to find out about invasive species after Gov. Jim Pillen signed a proclamation Might 13 designating consciousness days for the state.

The proclamation was submitted by Nebraska Sport and Parks Fee in partnership with the Nebraska Invasive Species Council.

“Partnership amongst businesses and with the general public is our best weapon in opposition to invasive species,” stated Shannon Smith, Nebraska Invasive Species Council coordinator. “We wish each Nebraskan to comprehend that they’re a part of the answer on the subject of invasive species and to assist defend the pure areas we love.”
