Union Volunteers Proud to Give Back at Take Kids Fishing Day in Marietta

MARIETTA, Ohio — The Union Sportsmen’s Alliance (USA), Ohio AFL-CIO and Worldwide Brotherhood of Electrical Employees (IBEW) Native 972 hosted the fifth annual Marietta Take Children Fishing Day at Buckeye Park on Saturday, Sept. 13.

Organized by the USA’s Work Boots on the Floor program, the occasion was a part of a collection of free, community-based youth outreach occasions. All 74 individuals, ages 2 to fifteen, obtained a free rod-and-reel to proceed fishing after the occasion, together with a picnic lunch of sizzling canine, chips, and drinks. In response to Ohio AFL-CIO consultant Mike French, funds raised from the USA’s Ohio Conservation Dinner helped make the occasion doable.
