It’s with profound unhappiness that Hodgdon shares the passing of John Brewster “JB” Hodgdon, who handed away on June 13, 2025, on the age of 88. A lifelong resident of Kansas, JB was born on October 16, 1936, to Bruce and Amy Hodgdon. JB grew up in suburban Kansas Metropolis and was extraordinarily energetic in his hometown neighborhood with first responders, Scouting America (previously the Boy Scouts of America), and the basic automotive neighborhood holding particular locations in his coronary heart. He graduated from the College of Kansas in 1959 with a level in Enterprise.
In his profession, Mr. Hodgdon held many roles on the Hodgdon Powder Firm. Within the early days, he packaged powder on the household eating room desk. He led worldwide gross sales and served because the face of Hodgdon at business commerce reveals. He served on the Hodgdon board in numerous roles, together with Board Chair, for a few years and was named Chairman Emeritus in 2025. JB and his spouse Anne, via their charitable basis, enhanced Philmont’s capacity to help our nation’s subsequent technology of hunters and shooters with a give attention to security.
